The Brent Stole, also known as the “Split the Atom,” is a classic yoyo trick that involves splitting the strings of the yoyo and then bringing them back together. It is a relatively simple trick to learn, but it can be very impressive to watch.
To do the Brent Stole, start by holding the yoyo in your non-dominant hand with the string wrapped around your middle finger. With your dominant hand, reach over and grab the string, pulling it tight. Then, use your non-dominant hand to throw the yoyo forward, releasing the string as you do so. The yoyo will travel forward and then return to your hand, splitting the strings as it does so. To finish the trick, simply bring the strings back together and catch the yoyo in your non-dominant hand.
