Galarian Birds are regional variants of the legendary birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres that were introduced in the eighth generation of Pokmon games, Pokmon Sword and Shield. These Galarian forms have different typings, abilities, and appearances than their original counterparts. For example, Galarian Articuno is a Psychic/Flying type, while Galarian Zapdos is a Fighting/Flying type, and Galarian Moltres is a Dark/Flying type.
In the FireRed version of the third generation Pokmon games, players can only obtain the original forms of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. However, there are several ways to obtain the Galarian forms of these birds in the eighth generation games. Players can catch them in the wild, trade for them with other players, or obtain them through special events.
